This will likely be a lengthy & hopefully helpful detailed review. We’re renovating a 70 year old family home. It needed & still needs a great deal of work. We got a new furnace, new HVAC, new mini split, all new ductwork, new ventilation for bathroom fans & ventilation for washer/dryer for the main floor. It took them only 3 days to complete this project! So far we are 100% thrilled and in awe over the timing, cost & craftsmanship of the entire scope of work done. ESTIMATE: Dustin & Eli both showed up on time to give us an estimate on the scope of work. Not one time through that process did they give me negative vibes, turn their nose, act superior with their known knowledge…absolutely nothing negative came from the time spent during the estimate. We all talked, we all listened, they gave good suggestions & advice, they were confident without being arrogant, there was NO PRESSURE whatsoever… and we all had some giggles in there as well. We love telling about the history of our house. So we chatted a little about that as well. THE JOB: They did a remarkable job on the entire house! The duct work looks amazing! Refigured the route on the duct work so now we can put ceilings up in the basement if we choose. They relocated the furnace so we are able to use more basement space. They used the old heat venting spaces for returns, plus they found space to add more return vents. They added 8 heating/cooling vents without stealing floor space that I already didn’t have. My husband misfired on the placement for the mini split for the attic space. Thankfully Eli was able to make that adjustment. Eli was very patient with me through it all. He communicated everything in such detail, at times it was beyond me, so he didn’t hesitate to call my husband when needed. As for clean up, to be fair, the house is a total gut job and we have boards, sawdust and stuff everywhere! I’ll gladly give them the benefit of the doubt, and say they cleaned up. From the first encounter to the very end our experience with Blue Heating and Cooling was excellent. The owner Devon first came out since he was short a couple service technicians due to the holiday week. He tried his best to revive our twenty five year old air conditioner, but it would not hold freon. It was not worth pursuing any further repairs due to its age so Devon gave us five estimates to consider. We could have shopped around for a better price but since our next door neighbor had used them for a total HVAC system replacement three years ago and was satisfied, we felt comfortable using their service. We opted for a mid range HVAC system due to our age as we have limited years to recover the investment. Eli and Kavon did the install and we couldn't be happier with the work they did. They were polite and very meticulous with the install. All the lines and wiring were very neatly done. They even moved the humidifier and installed a nice PVC drain for the furnace and humidifier. They had to make two runs for parts due to the complexity of the install. We were happy to support a local business and would highly recommend them.
